Under supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Staff Research Associate II (SRA II) will be tasked with collecting field data and conducting laboratory tasks in the area of pest management infestation. This includes creating GIS maps displaying the collected data. The SRA II will train and lead student assistants and limited terms employees in the surveying of trees and the collection of GPS data for creation of survey infestation maps. The SRA II will work with PI to modify field and laboratory protocols to ensure success of surveying and small experiments. The SRA II will informally meet with project sponsors to present field data and provide feedback on how to improve surveying efficiencies. In addition, SRA II will be responsible for maintaining research inventory, ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining field and lab equipment.
This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed. (2 vacancies)
Pay Scale: $27.09/hour - $35.05/hour
